Which ones are your tasks as a volunteer?
Making a difference in the life of a child can be as simple as reading them a wonderful story. NG Foundation has established Mobile Libraries in Uganda as the easiest channel for making story books available to children in the remotest areas of the country.
Your voluntary work will be that of going with us around and reading story books to children. You will be required to help the children to learn to read the story books on their own depending on the level at which they are.
When should you participate in our Mobile Libraries?
We operate on weekends during school time and from Monday to Friday during school holidays in Uganda.
CERTIFICATE/PROOF OF PARTICIPATION
After your successful participation as a volunteer, NG Foundation will issue you a certificate of participation. This is however possible if you participate in our program for as long as 3 to 6 months or more. Either way, you will receive a proof of participation. Even for as short as one week.
FULLY HOSTED LOW COST PROGRAM
Our fully hosted program in Uganda runs at a fee of only €24 a day and it covers all your basic costs including meals and accommodation.
ALL INCLUSIVE:
●PRE-DEPARTURE SUPPORT
To ensure that you will have a great experience volunteering in our program, we encourage you to make your bookings as early as 6 months prior to the starting date. This helps us to be in touch with you and to give you advice during your preparation. For example, which type of documents you'll require for your Journey and stay in Uganda, which health measures you aught to take etc.
●AIRPORT PICK-UP
Your transport costs are covered by you but we offer to pick you up from the airport to NG Foundation and back.
●ORIENTATION AND IN-COUNTRY SUPPORT
At your request, we'll be available to guide you around the country during your free time. You can also check out our 'Tour Uganda' program for activities that may be interesting for you. Please talk to us if you wish to participate in the activities because we have price reductions for NG Foundation Volunteers.
●ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Your accommodation and meals are taken care of at NG Foundation at no extra fee.
FLEXIBLE BOOKING
Should you wish to change your bookings for any reason, you can do so without any extra charges.
In case of a cancelation, we make a 100% refund with no extra fee.
